Priorities……Don’t Stop Now

One of the most important things that I have learned along the way is how much I can lose myself in the everyday mundane things. I refer to this as important because I am the only one who can recognize my own habits or lack of them and then pull myself back from the brink of falling into having days and days of not doing the things that matter most.

So….let me get right to the point here. What are the things that matter most?

They could be anything – when you run a business they are often the things you like to do the least. Or perhaps the tedious items on your list that take up a little extra time or take that much more effort to prepare.

We hear so many people saying to go after the money shot or to focus on your goals and follow your heart and dream big. Prepare, put in your 10 000 hours of effort to ensure you are an expert in your chosen field – the rest will fall into place.

Eventually.

Except when it doesn’t ever seem to work out like you had hoped, planned, wished for and expected.

But, this doesn’t mean that you are on the wrong path – often I have seen how my life throws me down a rabbit hole, only to emerge from the insanity of constant work and doing life – to be in a completely new and more relevant place.

It’s a lot like the chaos of a storm. Things get tossed around, it can be scary and there’s not a lot you can do except to hold on until it passes over you and you can put the pieces back together.

If I’ve learned one thing from the ‘weather’ around me – it’s this --- the energy changes and shifts in an instant. You are lifted, moved and pushed to beyond yourself – in spite of the deep resistance and reluctance you may feel.

Whatever you do, don’t stop now, because this is only the churning of the great wheel – a vortex of all the energies you have been working on, building and shifting for lifetimes……

Don’t stop dreaming, don’t stop creating, don’t stop hoping & wishing – don’t stop doing the things you love to do and even some of those you don’t like to do.

To keep moving through this energy shift in your life – one must think in terms of the types of effort required. We are called upon to;

  • Act
  • Work
  • Rise

In this order, in this way – we are able to create a world for ourselves, delving deeply into our dreams while following our destiny.

To rise without the appropriate action will place you on a weak or no foundation on which to rest and continue to build your life from. To rise without the necessary work (remember those 10 000 hours?) will have you overwhelmed and unable to comprehend the enormity of all you are here to accomplish.

Your dreams cannot be seen from the ground. They can only be glimpsed, pried open and peered into. In order to work from that place of aspiration you must begin the climb and then keep going until you see who you are and what you are made of.

Your purpose, your destiny, all of your hopes and wishes – they do not live on the ground nor will you discover them tethered to the earth. Don’t you remember releasing them?

You will only recapture them as you are lifted up – come on! They are ready to burst with excitement and it’s nearly a full moon!!
