Fermentation of food & drink is an ancient art and a necessary skill to maintain a healthy, balanced gut – turning ordinary vegetables, herbs, fruit and water into a tasty treat is the ultimate quest for the Food Alchemist.

Join April Danann, a West Cork Food Scientist, apple cider vinegar producer & kombucha brewer, for a tutorial in nature, reconnecting to the finer points of nourishing your body, mind & spirit with fermented foods of all kinds.

During this workshop you will be introduced to several methods of fermenting foods, various means of increasing nutritional content and bioavailability of nutrients as well as how to create exquisite tasting sourdough breads. Included in the event are all tastings, extensive notes and most importantly, a meal and some great craic!

April is delighted to offer this workshop again this summer, on Wednesday 14th August; Intuition for Health, Business & Life. It’s about accessing our own intuition that may have got lost in the mayhem of everyday living. We all have this six sense of knowing what’s right for us (and what’s not), but modern living encourages a more mental approach to figuring things out and the value of tuning in to our intuition is at best overlooked and at worst scorned. April has programmed Intuition for Health, Business & Life workshop to coincide with the imminent New Moon solar eclipse to enhance our connection with nature and therefore ourselves.

The workshop takes place up in the hills in Caheragh above Skibbereen in West Cork on Wednesday 14th August from 10.30am until 4.30pm. All notes, a workbook and an organic lunch is included.
