Mindfulness on a Monday

One thing I have on my mind a lot these days is my ‘mind’ and all it has been filling up with over these past few months especially. I mean, it’s hard to not be influenced or affected by all the trauma or drama around us, unless you live on the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere…..

Oh wait, that’s where I live. Nevermind.

Motivation for the Day Ahead

I've been hearing a lot about motivation these past few weeks....and indeed this summer in West Cork has been tough! It's rained nearly non-stop, been a few degrees colder than usual and we've all been feeling vitamin D deficient - a bit more than we normally are (LOL!).
Each morning I wake up and wonder about the day ahead.....what I've realised lately is that I am looking for the 'motivation' to get up, get moving and get going. Of course, having a plan helps, so does having a routine, a schedule as well as something to look forward to each day (a little sunshine doesn't hurt either)

Gut Bacteria Profile Change....Days 13 to 16

Day 13 to 16

We are back fasting again after a days break – back on the liquids – this week I am taking in my fermented juices (kiwi, strawberry, orange, lemon & ginger) as well as apple cider vinegar, beetroot juice and raspberry apple vinegar plus 1 - 2 tablespoons of homemade goat’s yogurt a day in the drinks.

Well, this time the transition from eating to fasting was a little bit more difficult. But, not because I wanted to eat or anything – my mind is clearly made up on that matter and I have no desire for food at the moment. It was something else, less tangible at first.

In Sickness & Health….. The Lifespan of a Healer

Being a healer takes a lot of energy from you, walking the spiritual path, self care, listening, paying attention, learning how to live….or at least it can – but lets get one thing straight right from the beginning: if you are supposed to be doing this work - at this level, touching on higher dimensions and consciousness, then you are more then able to handle this physical end of things.

Spiritual Disease… What to Do When Your Soul Hurts

These days, more then ever we are seeing an epidemic of spiritual based disorders…is this anything new? – not at all. We are only seeing what has been slowly rising to the surface over these past few decades as the human race as been pushed to the spiritual brink.

Is It Really 'Self' Sabotage...?

This past week I have been thinking a lot about the concept of self sabotage….remembering years ago how I would incessantly blame myself for my weak will, my lack of focus and inability to stay the course (any course) I set for myself.

And that was it. I would quit, stop, change course – think something different and take another route. Ultimately, I would not get where I wanted to go, or follow through with my own plans.

You Are A Billion Points of Light

Perhaps it’s not what you think it is, this concept of ‘light’ (as in Light worker, seek the light, be the light, rise up towards the light, let your light shine blah, blah)….maybe we have been in the dark for so long by now, any light on the horizon might appear a bit strange.

What if the light was just like a bit of brightness along the edges of our vision? It seeps inwards filling a space….but we have to draw it towards us, like a sponge to water.

Breaking the Silence - It's Not All Bad....

Open up any newspaper these days and listen to any program on the radio or television – and you will hear the exact same thing you heard 5 years ago, 15 years ago and perhaps 50 years ago….

The bad news – crime, wrong-doing, pillaging, violence, sickness and a complete lack of good. It’s all there, nothing apparently changes and what a mess we are in (according to those who try to control the airwaves).
